Even though he manages very technical aspects of the company, David understands how people correlate with business success. “Our business is our people, since we are in the service business. Our job as leadership is to empower our employees to be successful in their respective positions, to provide them with the tools to be best-in-class, and to provide them opportunities to grow,” he explained. “As the employees grow, the company will grow and be successful. You do it through people.”
David has over 40 years of experience in financial leadership, both in the banking industry and in the commercial interiors industry. David served as Vice President and CFO of Rockford Business Interiors prior to their merger with McCoy Workplace Solutions in 2010. His banking experience includes serving as Sr. VP/Corporate Controller at First City Bancorporation in Houston, Executive VP/CFO at First City Bank in Austin, and Manager of Financial Systems at First Tenessee Bank in Memphis.
David is actively involved with Financial Executives Institute, has served over 15 years on the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army and serves as an elder at First Presbyterian Church. He holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Memphis. David and his wife Paula have been married over 40 years. They live in Austin, TX near their 2 children and grandson.
